1 day/0 nights. Imlili is one of Dakhla’s classics. This excursion will bring you to a unique desert habitat in the morning, and let you enjoy a relaxing afternoon at secret beaches on the Atlantic coast. It can also be easily combined with other one-day classics such as Dakhla like a local and the day at the White Dune & Atlantic waves. Check our Dakhla Weekend package!

Programme – Imlili

Imlili is the name of a sebkha in the desert of Dakhla. This small sebkha (a depression with salted bottom) is characterised by permanent pools of salt water with fish* that were recently identified as a new species. Pools are small, but unique and beautifully colored. The sebkha is surrounded by bushes and plants, close to three wells and a regular venue for wild animals and herders. We will have lunch there and Saharawi tea. Depending on the timing and on weather conditions, we might then move to the coast to relax at some of Dakhla’s most beautiful beaches, or head back directly to Dakhla arriving in town late in the afternoon.
